Office till noon.

Drove to Walnut Creek & Livermore to look at new trucks.

Quiet evening at home with supper of Shepherd's Pie. mmmm... good.

Up at 6. At M&M's office at 8:30. Some office furniture has disappeared in preparation for their move back to their house.

Sold some partitioning during the day.

Went to look a new business truck.

Went home early, 'bout 2. Relaxed for the remainder of the day.

Up at 6. Breakfast at hotel coffee shop.

Morning to pack.

Airport at noon.

2:15 flight to San Jose where Mike & Mary will meet me.

Flight north was on time and smooth.

Evening with Mike & Mary got me caught up on what had changed at their place: flowering trees, flowers, garden, machinery, broken chopper, etc.

Up at 6 for 8:30 meeting with judges from across the country.

Meeting lasted so long that I missed Collegiate Contest.

Had a nice 2 hour nap in the afternoon.

Met several members near Honda Center for wonderful dinner with Don Mueller

Quartet finals were a bit boring.

Got home 'bout 11:30 & went to bed.

1 Up at 6. Ready for the big day.


2 Had a group breakfast at local IHOP.

3 Meet at rehearsal at 10:30.

4 Contest prep went great.

5 The on stage performance felt awesome. But we won't know how well we did till late this evening after the 2nd chorus session that begins at 6.

6 Results: First, St. Charles; Second, Vocal Majority, Third, GNU. We were ecstatic.

7 Afterglow at Clarion was joyous.

2 Up at 6, breakfast at the hotel coffee shop, then 7:30 bus to the Good News Gospel Sing performance at 9. Our performance went great.

10 Then changed back to "street clothes" and spent afternoon at the quartet semi-finals where the top 20 quartets performed - lots of good singing.

11 Finally met up with Gene & Sharon Rague from San Diego and had a wonderful supper and lots of good conversation. But I forgot to take a picture of us at supper. I could kick myself.

Up at 6, as usual. All packed. Ready to wait for Kathy, who's picking me up at 10. I'll add to this throughout the day.

At 8:30, main bag at front door. Only this computer left to pack.

Kath took me to the airport. Flight was on time. Prepaid airport shuttle worked fine. Hotel is great.

Had a great dinner at the local Cheesecake Factory. Resting till rehearsal at 9:45 PM.
